A recovery oriented board game designed for Practical Life Skills Farm (PLSF),
a rehabilitation centre in Pune catering to patients suffering from alcohol / drug
addiction and / or mental illnesses.
Process
Various experiments like journal writing, graphology, drama, relay races & storytelling were carried out for the patients, in order to gauge their concentration, impulse control, attention span, reflexes, interaction among themselves & the ability to take up responsibilities.
The board game was then crafted taking all the insights into consideration. The tasks in the game trigger reflection, cognition, confidence and most importantly help them to step out of the shell and face their fears.
